PHOTO-OP WITH POPE FRANCIS???

  No, not really…and Pope Francis is not promoting my novels.  This is a life-size cardboard likeness of our beloved Pope Francis.  Maureen Gallavan at Queen of Angels Catholic Store in Jacksonville, Florida, had the Pope’s cut-out available for pictures during the Sept. 28th book signing by members of the St. Johns Chapter of the Catholic Writers Guild.  Catholic poet and song-writer, Bart Price, hid behind the poster while he held up copies of my novels.  Pretty impressive, huh? Christian Fiction Finalist Award

                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        Gerard Webster received the 2012 Readers Favorite Finalist – Christian Fiction – Award on Saturday November 17 for his 2nd novel, The Soul Reader.  His novel was one of the books featured by Readers Favorite at the Miami Book Fair International–the largest book fair in the United States.   Mr. Webster’s 1st novel, In-Sight, also received the 2009 Readers Favorite Silver Award for Suspense fiction.  His books are available at local Catholic bookstores, on Amazon, Kindle, and Nook.

I overheard an interesting discussion on EWTN’s Women of Grace this morning.  It was a description of the 5 stages of persecution.  What was most interesting is that this was not a “theory” but rather an analysis of how persecution of any group or religion began in the past–and how it relates to what is happening in our own country today.
