No, not really…and Pope Francis is not promoting my novels. This is a life-size cardboard likeness of our beloved Pope Francis. Maureen Gallavan at Queen of Angels Catholic Store in Jacksonville, Florida, had the Pope’s cut-out available for pictures during the Sept. 28th book signing by members of the St. Johns Chapter of the Catholic Writers Guild. Catholic poet and song-writer, Bart Price, hid behind the poster while he held up copies of my novels. Pretty impressive, huh?
Bart Price signed copies of his book of Poetry, The Wild Woods Edge. Nancy Murray signed copies of her non-fiction 400 year history, The Madonnas of St. Augustine. And Antony Kolenc was there with his trilogy of historical suspense novels for teens, The Chronicles of Xan.
Thank you, Maureen, for hosting this book signing for Catholic authors. It was a great event…and a lot of visitors took advantage of the opportunity to have a “photo-op” with the Pope.
The next meeting of the St. Johns Chapter of the Catholic Writers Guild will be on Sat., Oct. 19, 10 a.m. – noon at 1725 Art Museum Drive, Jacksonville, Florida.
