    • Hi, Angela,
We are a small local chapter of the Catholic Writers Guild. We meet in Jacksonville, FL on the 2nd Saturday of each month–unless there is a conflict. As a small group, we do not hold conferences, but we do some workshops, training, and education for each other. Mainly we read and critique each other’s works. The best conferences are the ones put on by the international Catholic Writers Guild. There is one going on now in Chicago. We generally have one each year to coincide with the Catholic Marketers Network Conference. Also, each winter they put on a free on-line conference. It’s very easy to join the Catholic Writers Guild. Just google the name and their website should come up. You can join on-line and pay a whopping annual membership fee of $30. Our small St. Johns Chapter of the Catholic Writers Guild charges an additional $5 per yr for membership. Hope this information is helpful. Keep us informed of your writing. The Catholic Writers Guild will review Catholic fiction for the “Seal of Approval”–which can help in marketing your books to Catholic bookstores.

  2. Hi, I recently relocated to Jacksonville and I am interested in networking with fellow Catholic writers. Will you be meeting anytime in September? If so, please provide the date, time and location…. thank you!
